The end of April can only mean one thing for the traveling music-lover – time to pack up your bags and head for the Mojave Desert in Indio, California - for Coachella! Two days of blistering music performances from rock, hip hop, and dance acts from around the world will be there for the taking – and we’re proud to announce that the UMPG catalog is well represented! Check out the tunes below for some of our favorite acts at Coachella. Also, if you’ll be attending the festival, make sure to reach out and say hello to Carianne Brown, Joanna Puglisi, and Mandy Sewell in our Film & TV department who will be there.

Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better Franz Ferdinand - "The Fallen"
Call it art rock, post-punk, but whatever it is, we just want to dance! Expect this live set to be a party waiting to happen.

Depeche Mode - Playing the Angel Depeche Mode - "Suffer Well"
After 25 years together, Depeche Mode are still as dark, hypnotic, and brooding as ever on their 2005 release Playing The Angel.

Sigur Rós - Takk... Sigur Rós - "Saeglopur"
Ethereal, lovely, and unusual - Iceland’s Sigur Ros transfix ears on an unearthly level. Whether it’s inventing their own language for lyrics or not naming their songs on the album with the unpronounceable name ( ), Sigur Ros are constantly pushing the envelope of experimental music.

Damian Marley - Believe Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley - "Welcome To Jamrock"
Talent obviously runs in the Marley family - "Welcome to Jamrock" has a killer sample by Ini Kamoze and was a huge hit at Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, and Top 40 radio.

Ladytron - Witching Hour Ladytron - "Sugar (Jagz Kooner Remix)"
Edgy electronic meets girl pop - 2005 saw the release of their synth-laden album The Witching Hour - hailed as their best yet.

Common - Be Common - "Go"
One of Chicago’s best hip hop artists, Common has been delivering a fresh sound of 70’s soul attitude and jazz tones to the genre since he first emerged. This smooth track features the vocals of singer John Mayer.

Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself Imogen Heap - "Say Goodnight And Go (Immi's Radio Edit)"
Imogen Heap (also of Frou Frou) creates a web of sounds - both electronic and multi-instrumental - to weave her intimate, lovely pop songs. An unquestionable treat live as she plays each instrument and loops them to create her signature sound!

Massive Attack - Mezzanine Massive Attack - "Teardrop"
Massive Attack have been creating spell-binding songs since 1987 when they formed in Bristol, England, effortlessly blending hip hop and electronic/ dance music into quite a slinky and seductive concoction.
Paul Oakenfold - Bunkka Paul Oakenfold - "Ready Steady Go"
This high energy explosion of an electronic tune, along with the rest of Oakenfold’s music and remixes, should have the crowds going crazy dancing at Coachella!
Mylo - Destroy Rock & Roll Mylo (DJ set) - "In My Arms"
Mylo combines the best aspects of electronica and pop culture to create great dance music - this track includes an awesome sample from 80’s hit "Waiting For A Star To Fall" by Boy Meets Girl.
Art Brut - Bang Bang Rock & Roll Art Brut - "Formed A Band"
2006 finally sees the US release of Bang Bang Rock & Roll - one of our favorite albums from last year - it’s snarky, cheeky, and impossible to not rock out to! A definite must-see live band.
